In this modern fast paced world, we get so little time to care for ourselves, let alone others in need. Here at One Life At A Time, Love'n'Laughter, we believe that there is a way to make the changes
necessary to live a rich, full happy life. Please wander around the site to learn more.
MY NEWSLETTER

I like to let the world know about our exploits, successes, missions, adventures, parties, funtimes and just about everything else. I do this via a monthly newsletter that I somehow manage to compile in the copious amount of spare seconds throughout the month. More...

A Little about me and my mission...

My name is Susan Dustin Hattan-Aldous, or as my friends call me; Dusty.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I began the wonderful journey into full time, non-salaried volunteer work at age 16.

Seeing the need to formalise a base for my work, I established my single-handed, locally-funded organization, One Life at a Time (OLAT) and have conducted care-giving activities throughout Australia, South East Asia, as well as North and Latin America – all with amazing results.

Refugee camps, mental wards, drug and alcohol rehabs, prisons, juvenile detention centers, under-funded hospitals, slums and emergency shelters are but a few of the backdrops for OLAT’s projects.

My goals and methods are simple, yet highly effective. I believe that if each life is treated lovingly and is respected as a thing of precious value, including our own, we can have a positive influence on a hurting world. On a practical level, these actions are translated into therapeutic activities such as self-awareness and empowerment through education, skills training, personal counselling & coaching via short and long-term projects. I am based in Thailand, close to Bangkok at Nonthaburi Province.

Mission Statement...

OLAT’s Love ‘n’ Laughter programs are creations of compassion and caring designed as positive responses to burgeoning contemporary social maladies.

My desire to help others is more than an ideal: I vigorously work to make practical, emotional, mental and spiritual assistance freely available to those in need. Equally important, I wish to inspire others to take an active role in creating a more compassionate and safe world. Each of us has the wonderful capacity for positive change, not only within ourselves, but also helping others to find change as well.

We live in fast-paced time, where sadly the great values of love, friendship and concern for one another are often neglected. Therefore, I sincerely believe that even the smallest deeds of love and kindness, through joyful expression, will help make a huge difference!

“He who influences the thoughts of his times, influences all the times that follow. He has made his impression eternity.”
