"Melbourne Alcohol Recovery Centre (MARC) is a unique, highly specialised, flexible and crucial service."

Tina Cordell,
Team Leader Children’s Long-Term Team, Child Protection Eastern Metropolitan Region.

"MY name is Jamie and I was born into poverty. I had a dream to become a jockey. Early on I was a moderate flat jockey, but hit my peak as a jumps jockey. From 21-31 I toured the world until at 31 I picked up a drink after a fall and a family tragedy. I found once I started I couldn’t stop. I lost everything. I found myself in and out of rehabs, detoxes and jails and ended up on Brian Cox’s doorstep. The MARC have taken me in for a second go at it, without their support I would be dead.

Jamie Evans: Former Champion Jockey.

"I understand Coxy, He’s been there too; I could relate to what he was telling me. He’s got a passion for alcoholics and genuinely wants to help them."
Lester Ellis
Athlete / World Titled Boxer

"The Melbourne Alcohol Recovery Centre has slowly built a reputation for having the ability to be able to handle the most difficult of cases. The organisation and Brian Cox has gained the respect of the community in which they operate including Police, Courts, Office of Corrections, Hospitals and other alcoholic detoxification units."
